It's been 20 years!

Today, 20 years ago, I lost my Bapak. Forever.
Sudah tersirat. It was not meant to be that he didn't get the chance to see any of his sons got married. One thing for sure, if Bapak is still alive...
  • Safia would forever be his sweetheart,
  • Soraya would be his sweetest angel,
  • Sabrina would be his beloved joy
  • Adam would be his handsome buddy
  • Alia would be his beautiful princess
  • Asma would be his adorable confidante
  • Arissa would be his pretty honey
  • Azam would be his cute little sidekick
  • And Azizah would be his greatest pleasure

Anyway, to me Bapak will always be the best. This one is for you Bapak...

First-Class Father
Dad, I'm blessed to be your son
I knew it from the start.You're a first-class father;
You're loving, kind, and smart.
You've showed me how to be a good human
You helped me, guided me, along the way.
You're strong, and yet you're gentle, too.
I hope I'm just like you, someday!
Al-Fatihah, Mior Md Isa Bin Haji Mior Mahmud!

Salam Mior
Al-Fatihah for your late father. I miss my own father very much especially at times when I need advice on work and life.

Bro' Mior -- a very touching tribute to your father. You are a good son, in addition to being a good father, husband, sibling and friend.

Fortunately my father is still alive but this all I have to say: the lyrics in the Mike & The Mechanics early 90's hit "The Living Years" and Yusuf Islam's "Father and Son" says it all.

I envy you bro. Just be grateful that you had the chance...

Salaam.

Salam Mior,

Al-Fatihah untuk arwah your late father. Semoga rohnya ditempatkan di kalangan golongan yang beriman. Amin.

It must be hard sometimes, on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries when you wished that he was still alive and was with you and the family.

Even though arwah didn't get the chance to enjoy his grandchildren, make sure you tell your kids about their grand dad all the time so that they will feel as if he's still around with you all.

Bro MS:
Thanks. I was 24 when my Bapak passed away. During the last six months of his life, I was his partner in crime, so to speak. I was still menganggur then so I became his driver especially for his trips to the hospitals. Often, we would melencong pi pekena teh tarik and nasi canai. Behind my mom's knowledge, of course. One time, we even ended up in KL (without his medication pulak tu).

Shana,
Thanks. Even after 20 years, I still feel sad...especially nowadays my mak is not feeling well.
Thanks again. Sebagai anak kita hanya mendoakan sahaja. InsyaAllah.

When we love someone, no matter how long the person has gone, the memory is still strong beneath us. I still miss my late grandma who left me on 26 October 1996. Almost 12 years ago but whenever I think of her, I'll cry coz' I miss her so much. And the not so nice thing is, I always dream of her as if she's still alive... by the way, she was the one who brought me up from 3 months until I was 6 yrs old and then she came to visit most of the time..
