Oh No! Welcome to Malaysia

What can I say? What caaan we say?
We were on our way to Damansara Perdana just.... and the petrol stations were jam-packed. All over town.
An increase of 78 sen? I'm thinking of relocating elsewhere cheaper. Where ya in Malaysia? Do tell me... I'm dead serious.

We were in Kuantan the last 3 days, and was stuck in a massive jam on Wednesday night along Jalan Beserah (which I think has at least 10 petrol stations within an 8 km stretch!). We had to abandon our dinner plans at this Seafood Restaurant located beside a Petronas station - memang tak boleh nak access langsung as the traffic queue was blocking the entrance, and went on for more than a km!

Everybody should be allowed to work from home from now on don't you think? It saves petrol and of course reduces pollution...( but, of course, the companies would have to foot a certain amount of our utility bills lah kan?!)

Sigh...

(Dreading to fill up my tank today as I will know how much exactly I will have to pay every time I fill up a full tank from now on...)

Yep, this is Malaysia, and we are Malaysian. Like it or not, but life must go on.

How I hope my car is smaller so that it consumes less petrol, but I couldn't afford to have any smaller.

Eh, is that true the Pakatan Rakyat will be the government before 16th Sept? I seriuosly hope Anwar/ Kit Siang/ Hadi will do something about the petrol price.

Salam Pak Mior,

About the only place where most things are still relatively cheaper is Kelantan. But, you still cannot escape the effects of the petrol price where soon almost everything will balloon up. So, the best thing to do, is to tell all our friends that the only way to get things decent again is to oust the Sarkas for good!

ps. alternatively, you might want to live on the Layang-layang atoll, :)

Shana,
I too was stuck in the massive jam during the eve. Have to sebab my petrol tank was near empty and I have to get to Damansara Perdana that night. No choice. But really I am at my wit's end to reaarange my budget. Fening. Fening.

Saudara Ahmad,
Rasa nak naik motor jer sekarang.
Yes I heard about Pakatan Rakyat too. Kalau that can bring down the prices , by all means the faster the better.

Shah,
Yup, tak boleh nak lari.... sekarang RM50 feels like RM10. And to think that masa I was in primary, my belanja sekolah was 15 sen....
