I'm floored. I'm confused. I'm humbled.

I'm floored. This is such a delightful read. And when I grow up I want to write just like Awang Goneng and perhaps come out with my own GuIT (Growing Up in Temoh) too. That probably will never happen anyway. For one, I really can't recall a single momentous event ever while I was growing up. What a boring life!
Now can someone tell me how to get my book signed by Awang Goneng himself before he goes back to London? Anyone?

ii.
I'm confused. Till today I stilll can't figure out the police's (PDRM) priority. Or is it just me, er, simply being my not very clever self? These past weeks they merrily went on a "spree" of cleaning up the streets of Kuala Lumpur which suddenly were filled with sooo many bad Malaysians. Hmm, they must have been very busy. The thing is, what ever happen to Nurin's murder case? Any progress ker? Do let us know la ye? And please don't tell me there's no progress....

iii.
I'm humbled. My heart and doas are now with our brothers and sisters who are being hit by the floods in various part of the country. This is a dugaan Allah (one that I certainly could not imagine having to go through myself). At the time of writing this entry, it seems that the floods are getting worse especially in Pekan area. About 8000 people are stranded and the roads have been cut off. Now's the time to lend our helping hand. Those living in KL, please deliver your contributions to the Flood Relief Centre at Istana Pahang, Persiaran Raja Chulan, KL. Please contact Dato Nordin at 012-988-9149 or 012-900-7068.

Salam Pak Mior,

Nos 1 & 2, no idea at all.

Nos 3, that's a good effort. But I read somewhere, donors are also giving sardine cans with the dates past expiry. So please, do check carefully first.

Shah,
And please do not give away used undergarments too. Right? Nak berbudi biarlah bertempat dan ikhlas. Unfortunately, many treat this as an opportunity to simply spring clean their closet of unwanted clothes etc. Kalau macam tu might as well bagi duit jer. Kan?

Salam, Thanks for the kind words. AG and I will be in MAlaysia until middle of january and I am sure we will meet up. There's booksigning events being planned and we will let everybody know.
I am really saddened by the flood situation. A lot of people have lost their homes and valuable belongings. WAs in Cambodia, similar situation there. Keep up the good work.

Salam Mior
No 1. Go to http://thebookaholic.blogspot.com/ Sharon Bakar where she has details of the monthly writers event of which Awang Goneng will be one of the readers.

No 2. No idea, nothing at all.

No 3. If you have time, volunteer for one of the missions. I did before in January as you have read on my blog. It is indeed a humbling experience. I used it to me-muhasabahkan diri, putting into perspective what life/living is all about.

Fauziah,
Thanks for the info... and to think that I already linked Sharon's blog here. Goes to show the state of my mind.
And you know what, I might just sign up to volunteer. I know it will do me good ... your entry was really an eye-opener lar

Mior,
I have the same dream too, to write a book. Blogging gives me some semblance of writing a book so I am happy enough.
Lucky thing I have my GUIT signed by Awang Goneng. Thanks to Jaflam for making it possible.
As to PDRM's priority, I guess their personnel are as confused as we are since their top brass are busy polishing apples. That must be their top priority I guess.

Pak Zawi,
Your spin has been getting attention all over lar Pak. Delightful tales, indeed. I will not be surprised if yours will follow AG's GUiT route in the near future.
