This is a 15-year old Charice Pempenco from the Philippines. Apparently, her youtube performance in one Korean entertainment show became one of the most watched youtube entries late last year(and of course I was oblivious to it then). Then Ellen invited her to sing in her show. And the rest as they say ... is history!.

fooh!!! sabar je lah dia ni. Is she really 15? And is she a real Philipino? During the interview, I could hear a Pinoy's dialect. But, when she sang, wow!!! she's really different... makan apa lah agaknya ya... makan telur banyak kot.. hehehe..

Memang gifted and yes she's only 15. My family ternganga satu round the first time we watched this video. Still gives us goosebumps though.

The thing is dia ni ada masuk contest back in the Philippines two years ago and she came in third only. I was like going... what? But then again the contest was determined by viewers votes... so that explains everything!

They and the Indonesians boleh cari makan dengan menyanyi je especially in Malaysia, where hotel operators prefer to engage them than locals.
And they (those from the Philippines) take pains to learn local songs too.
