TV Watching - End of April

It's a holiday for many due to Pertabalan Yang DiPertuan Agong. Woke up late and rushed to the office. Still sampai lewat. 11am baru menyelinap masuk. Anyways, at home, the ladies were watching the pertabalan ceremony live.
Second Daughter: Mak, macamana kita nak masuk istana? (Impressed giler dengan all the splendour and colours of the ceremony)
Mak: Ikut pintu ler... Kenapa?
Second Daughter: (without missing a beat) Arissa, kamu kahwin ngan anak raja lar. Senang sikit hidup kita nanti.
And then the mother quickly and smartly pointed out that the best royal house to tackle would be to cross border into Brunei. Yeah, dream on....

Entah macamana during sesi switching channel, we ended up at RTM1 and a certain live telecast was on that evening. It's called Hits Satu or something. Somewhat similar to TV3 Juara Lagu. And we watched, at long last, Diana Naim in action.
Both husband and wife were rendered speechless and numb. I'm sure many more Malaysian suffered similar fate. What the hell was that?? Seriously. And they complained about how bad the AF 5 students were. Enuff said.

Akademi Fantasia 5. Aizat found himself eliminated. Lawak lak tengok Hattan bangun marah-marah kat audience. Nampak sangat people do not listen to the judges. But l liked the choral version of Joget SiPinang Muda. Apapun memang tak patut ler jugak si Aizat tu keluar because he clearly performed the best. And clearly jugak, Aswad is being pushed to become the next juara - thanks to the drama 'ayah dan ibu' at the end of the concert. Although mamat ni ada suara, but please ler, the way I see it, he can only reprensent the rock kapak segment of the industry. And although many people complain about Aizat's attitude in the diary, but me and wife are more irritated by Aswad's attitude. Such a cry baby and he's the oldest. Whatever.

Satu family sedang menonton one HBO movie (can't remember the title)
Mak: Hero ni macam very familiarler?
Bapak: Lar, kan ke Bruce Willis tu. Takkan tu pun tak perasan.
Mak: (Mulaler nak merajuk) Ya lar, kita tak pandai banyak benda. Buat apa kahwin dengan kita (Very drama kan?). Lain kali kahwin dengan orang yang pandai.
Bapak: (sambil senyum) Lain kali?
Second Daughter: Bolehker?
Bapak: Apasal lak tak boleh?
Second Daughter: Masalahnya ada ker orang nak?
Bapak pun came down crashing back to mother earth, berguling-guling.

My Celebrity Look-alikes
Orang tua-tua kata, kita ni kat dunia ni ada 7 orang yang seiras kita. So far, I've only come across seorang sahaja yang people said look like me sebijik. Siap hairstyle pun serupa. His name is Anasri Dahlan, my college mate at Third College, UM. Tapi Anas ni budak pandai, medical student ler katakan. Masa first year dulu he was my floormate pun. Ada sekali tu, I was walking along our hostel's darken corridor and tetiba ada seorang mamat dok called me "Anas, Anas! I turned around and saw this stranger started to talk to me animatedly. Heran jugak masa tu. Siapa dia ni. Rupa-rupanya abang si Anas. After a while baru dia tersedar. Hmm, we must have looked alike alot. In our third year, like any other medic students, he moved to Sixth College and masa tu jarang jumpa Anas nih. Sekali-sekala jer jumpa. The last time I met Anas was masa beli soto kat USJ 3 way back in 1994. Masa tu both of us found out that masing-masing baru kahwin and he was working at Kinrara Hospital. I bet that after 13 years and with 60kg excess on my part, we no longer look alike. That I'm pretty sure.
Anyway, according to this website (below) I ada iras P. Ramlee lar. And I thought I'm waaaay handsome than the good Tan Sri. Oh, well!

What's Wrong With Aizat?
Okay, I watched Akademi Fantasia 5, err quite zealously. You know the works - diaries and concerts. And I must say the last concert was one of the best. Dengan intro with the delightful children plus the students' wonderful performance, it was indeed one of the most entertaining concerts ever. I was mostly impressed with Aizat, Mila (very classy ler minah ni), Candy (finally), Shawal, Ebi and even Dafi and Rizal. I'm sorry but we were bored stiff with Heliza's performance while Aswad, although he can sing but as in previous weeks, was utterly comical. In a really bad way and it's not even funny. Urgh. But the big question is why do most of the well-known AF-related bloggers are shutting out Aizat in their entries. Its like as Aizat is not one of the students. What's happening? Please enlighten me. Anyone? Is it because of his "attitude" in the diaries? I agree he does come across as a pain in the butt most of the time but surely that does not warrant such a treatment!! Or is it?
